I just like listening to the guy

I guess last night’s 60 Minutes interview with Obama didn’t get that much play in the media because there’s nothing here particularly newsworthy – or maybe other media are just ticked 60 Minutes did the interview? Whatever, I just like listening to the guy. And Michelle is always a delight. But Obama has a wonderful combination of the informality implied by the term “fireside chat,” yet with a dignity that should apply to the US presidency, but has been missing for a long time. There’s an integrity, a wisdom, a common sense quality to it all that makes me feel like we’re at last on the right track. No miracles – but no talking down, no spin – and when he sn’t going to answer a question he says he isn’t going to answer it.

I can’t find the whole thing – even in pieces – on You Tube yet, but you can get it at the CBS site and I do recommend the whole thing. Go here.
